We drove through a snowstorm and came through to sunshine in Alabama where I had dinner at the Waffle House learning how to throw the Alabama hand signs taught by the decidedly hard-core waittresses.
Tomorrow, we'll be in New Orleans and will end up near Houston at the end of the day. Thinking of staying at the Joie de Vivre Hostel...has anyone been there? Anyone care to give any reviews of the places they stayed in the area?
It'll be good to be back in Nawlins...it's one of my favourite cities in America. |

In West Virginia, heart of the Kissing Cousins part of the country. Had I the time, I would have visited the Hollywood Cemetery. This place is beautiful, but in a way that makes me sad.
As a side note, one of my Vietnam wedding images placed in the 2009 Image International Photo Contest and I scored about a grand's worth of prizes. |
